Creative Arts
Creative arts play an essential part in school life.
Creative Dance, Drama and Art are incorporated into the curriculum, rather than being optional extras. This enables all the children to develop self-expression, co-ordination, good posture and poise as well as an appreciation of music.
Music is encouraged both as a physical activity through movement and as an experimental subject in sound, mood and improvisation.
The children learn singing and percussion from Nursery through to Year Two. Frequent concerts and plays are performed on the large stage in the main hall.
Years One and Two learn to play recorders and individual woodwind, piano and voice lessons are available.
Our Kindergarten after school Dance club follows the RAD syllabus whilst Reception upwards explore ballet, modern-jazz and country dancing.
